This week was full of fun and tasty dishes. My husband loved all the food, but I know his favorite had to be the pakoras. He ate almost half of them. If the kids had to pick one they would definitely pick the Oreo Trifles... go figure.. kids and sugar. If I had to pick one it would be the beef curry, lo mein , chicken mushroom stir fry and the pakoras... and... Okay... I know I didn't pick just one... but I can't pick... I loved them all. :)
The kids are getting excited for summer vacation... only two more weeks to go! I don't know if I'm ready for them to be home with me all day (especially with their constant bickering and my need to referee them). I will have to figure out a way to get all my dishes done with them at home. You may see more kid friendly dishes coming your way so I can keep them busy in the kitchen with me. My favorite childhood memories are with my mother in kitchen watching and helping her cook. I hope that gives them some fun memories to look back on someday and also teach them to feel confident in the kitchen when they get older.
HOT! That's what we're dealing these days. It's been in the mid 90's all week long and summer has not started yet. We are looking for all kinds of ways to cool off and I have some popsicles in the freezer as we speak... so look out for that recipe next week.
Now I'm going sit under the fan and cool off... here's the week in review...
