I used to make buffalo style wings all the time before I had kids. I haven't made them in a long time because I didn't think my kids could eat them easily. Well I was wrong. They can eat them just fine now. I made these wings and I had my kids and husband clamoring for more, more, more. Unfortunately, I only made a small batch because I was testing the recipe. Next time... I will make a giant batch and I won't have to ration them out. These wings make a meal, great snack or party fare. The best part is I completely baked them in the oven so they are even more figure friendly than their deep fried cousins.
Ingredients:
Note: ( I will give you the quantities for one pound of wings. If you want to make multiple pounds just increase the ingredients accordingly. )
Marinade:
1-2 cups of buttermilk (enough buttermilk to soak the wings)
1 Tbs of grated ginger
1 Tbs of grated garlic
salt and black pepper
1 Tbs garam masala powder
2 Tbs sweet paprika powder
black pepper and salt to taste
Buffalo Sauce:
1/2 cup of hot sauce (I used Frank's Red Hot)
1 Tbs of butter
Mix marinade with wings and soak overnight or up to 24 hours. Per heat oven to 400 degrees and lay wings in a baking tray in one layer.
Bake for 20-25 minutes and then turn over and bake for another 20-25 minutes. You wan the meat to brown well. In a skillet heat hot sauce and butter.
Once melted, toss baked wings sauce and serve hot. Enjoy.
